A native Tennessean, Ryan Knight received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Austin Peay State University.  During his time at Austin Peay, Ryan was a member of the Pi Sigma Alpha National Honor Society, Student Government Association Senator, a Dean’s List Recipient and assisted in the creation and organization of the University’s first Pre-Law Society.  Ryan went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the Nashville School of Law and is licensed to practice in Tennessee.

Ryan has over fifteen years of experience in the legal field having worked in areas such as estate planning, probate, health care litigation, elder law, and personal injury.  While earning his undergraduate degree, Ryan began his legal career working as a clerk for two general practice law firms in Clarksville, Tennessee. While he attended law school, Ryan had the opportunity to work for the Tennessee Judiciary for a division of the Supreme Court of Tennessee. Upon earning his Juris Doctor, Ryan worked as a Litigation Attorney for the Tennessee Health Care Finance and Administration where he was later promoted to Lead Attorney.  In 2017, Ryan moved to private practice and founded Knight Legal. In addition to Estate Planning, the firm focuses its practice on Estate Administration and Business Law.

Ryan is active in the community and currently serves on the Board of Directors with international non-profit Switchboard Missions.  Ryan is also a past member of the Harry Phillips American Inn of Court and current member of the Tennessee Bar Association and American Bar Association.

When he is not working or volunteering, Ryan enjoys golfing, traveling and spending time with his wife, Annika, son, Soren and daughter, Atalie.
